Gil Deeble has studied with Wynn Handman/Wynn Handman Studio in New York City (NYC), HB Studio, NYC & The Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute, NYC, developing into an actor that understands how to be free of the barriers that can hold a performer back. With over twenty years in the industry, he has experienced the many roads an actor travels for his/her craft.
A member in good standing of the acting unions SAG-AFTRA & AEA, Gil recognizes how important every aspect of a characters life is and that it starts before a director calls "Action!" or an entrance is made onto the stage. In doing so, he has been blessed to work from NY to LA with some of the finest actors including Academy Award Winners Ellen Burstyn & Mo'Nique, Emmy Nominee-Elisabeth Moss; Uma Thurman, Chris Evans, Chris Noth... building a resume that includes leading roles on Broadway/Off Broadway in: The Color of Justice, Manchild in the Promised Land, We Righteous Bombers, Wrong Barbarians... As a Teaching Artists in the Literature to Life program since 1995, Gil has introduced theatre & literature to middle and high school age students through performance. Based on Claude Brown's stirring autobiography "Manchild in the Promised Land", Gil performs an array of characters in a verbatim adaptation of the book .
